Affiliate Linking Instructions

The link that you place on your site must be properly formatted and must include your "Affiliate Code" in order for you to receive credit for the referral.

The proper format is shown below:

The link begins with an "Anchor Tag" which looks like "<a href=".

After the anchor tag is our domain "http://www.CareerPlanner.com/".

The domain name is followed by the "Landing Page." The landing page is a special page that has additional software for referral tracking. The landing page you want to use is "A-Career-Test.cfm"

After the landing page is a question mark which tells our server that data is going to follow.

After the "?" is "AFID=" followed by your Affiliate code.

Your affiliate code contains the four characters "AFID" followed by five to six other letters that are unique to your account with us. That in turn is followed by a quotation mark and the ">" symbol.

Next comes your "Link Text".

The "Link Text" portion is totally up to you. The "Link Text" is the portion that shows up for your visitors to see. Some examples of Link Text are shown below:

After the link text comes the "</a>" which completes the anchor tag.

Here is an example, where you replace the "XXXXXX" with your affiliate code:
